   I have been with the Duncanville ISD since the 2001-2002 school year. Teaching at Mary E. Smithey PACE High School has been and continues to be my treasured vocation. I am able to help young people become academically proficient, emotionally secure, and socially well-adjusted learners. This helps me appreciate even more our students as they prepare to assume the challenges of adult life in a technologically advanced society that requires creativity, critical thinking, motivation, and persistence. At various points our students have struggled, succeeded, and overcome the many obstacles that have surrounded them to become young adults who will have the potential to realize the dreams they have dreamt, and the dreams they have yet to dream. No other profession can match the gift that is teaching.
