I have lived my life with the understanding of a quote "The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you will not sit". I find myself being a life long learner and have found myself craving knowledge about a great many subjects.
Luke 13: 18-19 "What is the kingdom of God like? To what shall I compare it? It is like the grain of a mustard seed, which a man took, and put in his own garden. It grew, and became a large tree, and the birds of the sky lodged in its branches".
My philosophy on teaching is that I may never see the impact that I have had on the next generation. I may never see the impact I have had on a young person going through trauma. I may never be thanked for influencing a troubled youth. But as the tree grows and the mustard seed sprouts someone else will get to enjoy the shade of my work.
