Dr. Marc Smith Superintendent
The 2019-2020 school year is off to a great start. We’re celebrating our academic growth and highlighting increased choice options for students. Duncanville ISD has earned the top state accountability rating for the Best Southwest region with an 84, or a B letter grade.
This year two new choice programs were added to our middle schools - Byrd Middle School Health Science Program and Reed Middle School Business & Technology Program. These two programs join the STEAM Academy at Kennemer Middle School. In each of these specialty choice programs, middle school students have the opportunity to earn high school credits for an early start.
At Duncanville High School, there are many opportunities for students to choose a pathway that meets their individual needs. Whether it’s through the Collegiate Academy, P-Tech Architectural Design Early College High School or building a unique path, Duncanville High School offers more choice options than most and continues to provide a full high school experience.
The continued success of our schools is a credit to the community support we receive. Strong communities equal strong schools. Thank you for being an important part of “Writing Success Stories, One Student at a Time.”
